- Launched in 2016, Udan Scheme has 415 routes connecting 66 underserved Tier II and Tier III Cities.
- The scheme has also led to the development of new airports, namely, Pakyong in Sikkim, Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh, and Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. More Greenfield Airports are to come next.
- More than 350 new city pairs are slated to be connected, while there is already a network of 200 city pairs. It has benefitted 92 lakh passengers so far. The scheme improves mobility at a reduced cost of transport.
