- India’s first underwater train to be launched in Kolkata. The train runs under a river covering a distance of 16.34 km east-west corridor.

- The train will cover a distance from Sector V to Howrah under the Hoogly river in 27 minutes. The train will be operational by 2023.
- The tunnel for the routes was created by Afcons, a construction company in 2017.
