- Appointments and Resignation
- Narinder Dhruv Batra resigned from the position of FIH (International Hockey Federation) and IOA (Indian Olympic Association) president and IOC (International Olympic Committee) member citing personal reasons.
- Narinder Batra was inducted as a member of the IOC in 2019 and later became a member of its Olympics Channel Commission. He was elected as FIH president for the second time in May 2021.
- Manipur Governor La Ganesan takes additional charge as Governor of West Bengal following the resignation of Jagdeep Dhamkar, who has been nominated by NDA(National Democratic Alliance) as its vice presidential candidate.
- La Ganesan was administered oath by Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court in the presence of Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee, Chief secretary H K Dwivedi, and state assembly speaker Biman Banerjee, Senior MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Trinamool minister Sashi Panja at Raj Bhawan.
- Brijesh Gupta was appointed as the Managing Director of RattanIndia power.
- RattanIndia power is a private power generation company with an installed capacity of a 2,700 MW thermal power plant at Amravati and Nasik(1,350 MW at each location) in Maharashtra.

- Renowned Ghazal singer Bhupinder Singh passed away at the age of 82, due to suspected colon cancer and Covid-19 related complications.

- The World Bank has approved a loan of USD one billion to provide support to India’s flagship PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM).
- Morgan Stanley cuts the forecast for India's GDP growth estimate by 0.4 percent to 7.2 for the FY23 due to slower global growth.
- It further said the growth will slow down to 6.4 percent in the FY24, which is 0.3 percent lower than the earlier forecast.
- According to other major estimates including RBI (Reserve Bank of India) the GDP growth rate in the FY23 is likely to be over 7 percent.
