  • A healthcare delegation of India-UAE visited Tanzania to meet senior government officials and explore investment opportunities. The purpose of the visit is to identify projects for collaboration with government and private healthcare providers in Tanzania.
  • The delegation consists of prominent hospitals, diagnostic centers, and investors from India (Apollo hospitals, Fortis, Medanta, NephroPlus, Dr. Lal Path Labs, KEF holdings, FICCI, and Invest India) and the UAE (G42 Healthcare, Tamouth, and Somerian) and government representatives of both the countries.
  • Joint India-UAE Vision Statement, issued after the virtual meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince (now President) agreed to collaborate in providing health care in unprivileged countries.
  • The High Commission of India in Tanzania along with the Embassy of UAE in Tanzania organized a business round table for health sector professionals. A leading Indian group is setting up a state-of-the-art hospital In Kenya.
