- During his two-day visit to Gujarat Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Smriti Van in Bhuj, which celebrates the spirit of resilience shown by people following the earthquake in Gujarat in 2001.
- PM Modi will also address 'Khadi Utsav' at Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad and will also address a program in Gandhinagar commemorating 40 years of Suzuki in India. The 'Khadi Utsav' is being held as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and is organized to pay tribute to Khadi and its importance during the freedom struggle.
- 'Khadi Utsav' will be held at Sabarmati riverfront and will witness 7,500 women artisans from various districts of Gujarat spinning charkha live at the same time and at the same place. The event will also have an exhibition showcasing the evolution of charkhas by displaying 22 charkhas from different generations.
- Smriti Van is built over 470 acres of land to celebrate the resilience shown by the people after the death of around 13,000 people in the 2001 earthquake in Bhuj.
- The Smriti Van Earthquake Museum has seven blocks based on seven themes such as rebirth, rediscover, restore, rebuild, rethink, relive and renew. PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 4,400 crore in Bhuj.
- PM Modi will also inaugurate the new office building of the 'Gujarat Rajya Khadi Gramodyog Board' and a foot overbridge at Sabarmati. Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the Suzuki Motor Gujarat Electric Vehicle Battery Manufacturing facility in Hansalpur, Gujarat, and a vehicle manufacturing facility in Kharkhoda in Haryana.
