- S Jaishankar will visit UAE(United Arab Emirates) from August 31 to co-chair the 14th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) and 3rd India-UAE Strategic Dialogue with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
- These meetings provide opportunities for both the ministers to review the strategic partnership between India and UAE and regional and global developments. During the visit, S. Jaishankar will also meet other UAE dignitaries.
- On February 18, both the leaders held a Virtual Summit during which they signed the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), and a vision statement was adopted. Both the leaders also participated in the I2U2 summit which was held on July 14.
- Both India and UAE will partner in areas of trade, investment, conventional and renewable energy, food security, health, skill development, education, culture, defence, space, consular issues, and people-to-people ties.
