Current Context: The two-day, 36th Tri-Services Commanders’ Conference (TSCC)- South was held at Port Blair under the aegis of Andaman and Nicobar Command.

  • Lieutenant General Ajai Singh, the Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman and Nicobar Command, served as the host of the conference.
  • Lieutenant General JS Nain, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, Vice Admiral Ajendra Bahadur Singh, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, Vice Admiral MA Hampiholi, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Air Command, and Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, Chief of Staff of the Eastern Naval Command, were also present at the conference.
  • The leadership of the three forces discussed ways to improve tri-services training and component readiness as well as several issues relating to the infrastructure development, and the geostrategic situation in the Indian Ocean region.
  • The objective was to strengthen the Integrated-Service commands and to make their combat qualities efficient and robust.
  • TSCC is an annual conference that is held to improve cooperation and synergy between the Army, Navy, and Air Force’s three service commands in order to respond to natural disasters, conduct operations, and provide humanitarian aid in the area.
