- The unveiling of the 1320 (660x2) MW, Maitree Thermal Power Plant was done at Rampal, Khulna.
- The Inauguration of the 5.13 km long, Rupsha Rail Bridge was also done.
- Bangladesh PM, Hasina announced Mujib Scholarship to descendants of Indian soldiers killed and injured in the 1971 War, which resulted in the formation of Bangladesh as a nation. The Award is named after the founding father of Bangladesh, "Bangabandhu" Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
