- The Union Cabinet increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) of the central government employees by 4%, beginning from July 1, 2022. It is expected to benefit over 69 lakh pensioners and 41 lakh central government employees.
- In a two-day visit to Gujarat, PM Modi inaugurated projects worth Rs. 29,000 crores. It included the first CNG terminal in the world; Phase I of the Ahmedabad Metro; and Phase I of the Diamond Research and Mercantile (DREAM) City in Surat.

- The Government of India appointed Lt. Gen. Anil Chauhan (Retd.) as the new Chief of Defense Staff (CDS). He joined the 11 Gorkha Rifles of the Indian Army in 1981 and retired as a General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command in 2021.
- The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, appointed R Venkataramani as the new Attorney General of India. He will replace the current Attorney General KK Venugopal.
- Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) was appointed as the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia by the royal decree. MBS is the heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
