Current Context: In 6 circles, Adani Group has received a unified licence from the Department of Telecommunication for access service.

• This licence is given to Adani Data Networks, a subsidiary of the Adani Group.
• The 6 circles include Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Mumbai.
• The expenditure on this project has been around Rs. 200 crores.
• Spectrums of 400 MHz in the 26 GHz band are chosen.
• The government has earned Rs. 1.5 lakh crore from the first 5G spectrum auction. 71% of the spectrum was sold.
