- The Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) plant in Lehragaga has been constructed at a total outlay of Rs. 230 crores and is spread over 20 acres of land.
- Germany-based bio-energy company, Verbio AG has commissioned the project via a Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
- The current capacity of the plant will be 6 tons of paddy straw per day which will be later expanded to 300 tons of paddy straw per day.
- In addition to this, it will also produce 600-650 tons of Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) per day.
- The plant is expected to reduce stubble burning on approximately 40,000 – 45,000 acres of land which in turn will cut down 150,000 tons of CO2 emissions yearly.
