Garuda Aerospace and Lockheed Martin signs MoU

Current Context: Garuda Aerospace Private Limited and Lockheed Martin Canada Cydia systems have signed a memorandum of understanding to integrate both software solutions in advanced uncrewed aerial systems.

• The integration is done for commercial purposes.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also launched hundred Garuda drones in hundred locations.
• Mahendra Singh Dhoni became its brand ambassador.
• Under this partnership, both companies will work for building strong data processing capabilities for drone-based applications in sectors such as defence, agriculture, mining, and industrial inspection.
• The uncrewed systems include aerial, terrestrial, and marine vehicles along with their related parts.
• It is similar to the sciences and communication software program that executes data collection missions without human presence.
• Static Part: Drones fall under the aerial class of uncrewed systems and so UAS Software program options are required for its functions.
