Current Context: India’s First Migration Monitoring System, the Maharashtra Migration Tracking System (Maha MTS) was launched in Mumbai.
India’s First Migration Monitoring System
  • The Maha MTS was launched by the Women and Child Development Minister of Maharashtra, Mangal Prabhat Lodha.
  • The primary objective of Maha MTS is to increase the interoperability of schemes related to universal health and nutrition.
  • The Maha MTS, through a Unique Identification Number, will track the movements of seasonal migrant beneficiaries.
  • The Maha MTS will provide the following services:
  1. Immunization
  2. Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS)
  3. Health Screening
  4. Integrated Child Protection Services (ICPS)
  • The system will be available on both, the website and the application and will provide information on pregnant migrant women, lactating mothers, and children.
