Supercomputer facility inaugurated at IIT

Current Context: President Draupadi Murmu inaugurates the supercomputer facility at IIT Guwahati.

• This supercomputer is named ‘Param-Kamrupa’.
• It is a state-of-art setup under the National Supercomputing Mission.
• SAMEER (Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research) laborator at IIT Guwahati.
• It will be used for the design and development of high-power microwave passive and active components.
• It is the first visit of the President to Assam since assuming office.
