  • National News:
    • The National Suicide Prevention Strategy was introduced by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW). It was launched to achieve a 10% reduction in suicide mortality by 2030.
    • The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) asked the state governments and other stakeholders to verify Aadhar before accepting it as identity (ID) proof.
    • The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW) discontinued the provision of uploading self-declaration forms on the Air Suvidha portal. The self-declaration was made mandatory in August 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
    • The Sahyadri Farmer Producer Company (FPC) bagged the license to set up India’s first Private Agricultural Market (Mandi) at Dindori, Nashik in Maharashtra district with an outlay of INR 25 Cr.
    • Federal Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JCB India to finance heavy construction equipment and for expanding its loan profile.

    • The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) adopted a resolution to condemn the human rights violations in Iran committed on protesters in the nation by state authorities. India abstained from the resolution.
    • Global Employability University Ranking and Survey (GEURS):
    1. It is released by the Times Higher Education (THE).

  • Important Days:
    • Every year November 25 is observed as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (IDEVW) all around the world. It is an initiative of the UNGA. The theme of the IDEVEW-2022 is “UNITE! Activism to End Violence against Women and Girls”.
  • Appointments:
    • Anwar Ibrahim was appointed as the new Prime Minister of Malaysia. Ibrahim belongs to the Pakatan Harapan Party.
    • Lieutenant General Asim Munir was appointed as the Chief of the Army of Pakistan. He will succeed General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
    • Vinit Kumar was appointed as the CEO of the Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC). Kumar is a 1993-batch Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) officer.
  • Awards and Honors:
    • The founder and CEO of the INNO Group, Ravi Kumar Sagar, was awarded the prestigious Dr Abdul Kalam Seva Puraskar. The award was given by the Vande Bharat Foundation and Lead India Foundation.
    • Renowned painter and museum maker, AP Shreethar, was awarded the 2022 Economic Times Inspiring Leaders Award.
