  • National News:
    • The India Railways announced that India will become a major exporter of the Vande Bharat trains by 2025-26 to markets in Europe, South America, and East Asia.

    • According to the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO’s) recently released World Intellectual Property Indicators 2021 report, the global Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) filings saw a growth of 3.6% in 2021 in comparison to 2020. India witnessed an increase of 5.5% in patent filings.
    • In a jointly published report by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United States Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (US-CDC), it was found that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, nearly 40 million children missed the measles vaccine dose in 2021.
    • The European Space Agency (ESA) named British Paralympic sprinter John McFall as the first “parastronaut” in the world.
