  • National News:
    • The Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Giriraj Singh, launched the “Nai Chetna- Pahal Badlav Ki” campaign against gender-based discrimination. The theme for the campaign is “Elimination of Gender-Based Violence”.
    • A committee was formed under the Ministry of Rural Development for revamping Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (MGNREGA). The committee is expected to submit its report by Jan 2023.
    • For an estimated amount of INR 6000 Cr, Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) is set to acquire the packaged drinking water company, Bisleri.
    • Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) and the IDBI Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to assist customers with hassle-free affordable financing and schemes for purchasing Honda Car models.
    • The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) developed a Kerala e-Mobile (KeM) App, which will act as a common platform for accessing the e-charging station services.

  • International News:
    • The 19th meeting of the Conference of Parties (COP19) to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) was held at Panama Convention Center, Panama.
    • The China National Space Administration (CNSA) announced building its first Moon base by 2028. It will be followed by landing astronauts on Moon in subsequent years.
  • Important Days:
    • Every year, the fourth Sunday of November (27th Nov 2022) is celebrated as Raising Day by the National Cadet Corps (NCC). NCC celebrated its 75th Raising Day this year at the National War Memorial, New Delhi.
  • Appointments:
    • Para sportswoman Deepa Malik was appointed as the Brand Ambassador of the Nikshay Mitra campaign. It is an initiative under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
  • Awards and Honors:
    • The Prime Minister of the UK, Rishi Sunak, and his wife, Akshata Murthy, were listed on the 2022 Asian Rich List launched at the Asian Business Awards. The list was topped by the Hinduja Family for the 8th consecutive time.

    • The Union Education & Skill Development Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, released a book titled, “India: The Mother of Democracy”. The publisher of the book is the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR).
