The two-judge bench of the Supreme Court of India, comprising Justice DY Chandrachud and Hima Kohli, reiterated the ban on “per vaginal examination” or “two-finger test” in cases of rape. The bench said that the test was purely based on a patriarchal mindset and must be curbed.
