    • 16th Edition of Surya Kiran is conducted in Nepal Army Battle School, Saljhandi, Lumbini Zone, Nepal. This exercise is conducted since 2011 between Nepal and India to fight terrorism in mountain and jungle areas and improve disaster relief measures between both countries.
    • P A Sangma Football Stadium was opened in Dakopgre in Tura, Meghalaya by the Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma. The fund to upgrade this stadium was given by the Ministry of Minority Affairs and the Government of Meghalaya.

    • To map World’s Oceans, rivers, and lakes, the United States and France satellite “SWOT – Surface Water and Ocean Topography” was launched. The project cost USD 1.2 Billion.
