    • From January 15 to January 29, 2023, Odisha will host the second iteration of "Dot Fest," a celebration of the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup 2023 that is a component of city festivals.

    • At the National Agripreneurs Award ceremony held at NASC Complex, New Delhi, Delhi on January 12, 2023, the Indian government gave the National Awards to 82 top Agripreneurs educated under the Central Sector Scheme - Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business (AC&ABC).
    • During the Miss Universe 2022 pageant held in New Orleans, Louisiana, R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States of America (USA) was crowned the 71st Miss Universe 2022. Amanda Dudamel of Venezuela was named the first runner-up, and Andreina Martinez of the Dominican Republic was named the second runner-up.
    • On January 16, 2023, IST, the 28th Critics Choice Honors were held, and SS Rajamouli's RRR took home two prizes. The RRR won awards for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Song for Naatu Naatu.
