Bhupender Yadav, the Union Minister for Environment, introduced the "Save Wetlands Campaign" in Goa. It is designed to address wetlands conservation from a "whole of society" perspective.
In terms of sales of electric vehicles across all market sectors that have benefited from subsidies under the FAME II Scheme, Maharashtra has been at the forefront. Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu are listed after Maharashtra. 56% of the electric vehicles sold through the programme, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, e-rickshaws, and four-wheelers, come from these five states.
