Current Context: Romania's Deputy Defence Minister Simona Cojocaru recently met India's Défense Secretary Giridhar Armane in New Delhi after the two countries signed their first defence cooperation agreement.
- Bilateral cooperation will be done in areas such as cyber defence, training and education, communication and information technology, military medicine, defence policy and scientific research in the military sector, as well as techno-military issues.
- Collaboration will be done with the Romanian Institute for Political Studies of defence and Military History and the Indian Manohar Parrikar Institute for defence Studies and Analyses.
- Furthermore, Romania and India have already cooperated in multinational environments such as UN missions, and highlighted their joint contribution to promoting stability and strengthening peace and security.
