India’s FIEO sign MoU with Business Russia to promote trade & FDI

Current Context: India’s apex exporters body Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Business Russia to promote trade and investments between the two countries.

• The MoU was signed during a visit of a 50-member delegation of the agro and food processing sector to Moscow and St. Petersburg from April 24 to 27.
• The delegation explored opportunities in diverse business ventures such as ready-to-eat meals, fish meal, animal feed, soyabean and conventional products.
• The MoU aims to cooperate in arranging exhibitions, buyers-sellers’ meetings, workshops, seminars and encouraging enterprises to work in tandem with their counterparts for joint ventures.
• The FIEO also expressed its intention to increase agro and processed food exports from about USD 750 million to over USD 3 billion in the next three years
