PM Modi Inaugurate Northeast’s first AIIMS at Guwahati

Current Context: PM Modi will inaugurate Northeast’s first AIIMS in Guwahati built at a cost of Rs 1,123 crore.

• The hospital has a capacity of 750 beds, including 30 AYUSH beds, and an annual intake capacity of 100 MBBS students.
• In addition to AIIMS Guwahati, PM will dedicate three other medical colleges to the nation.
• Each medical college has an attached 500 bedded teaching hospitals with OPD/IPD services including emergency services, ICU facilities & OT facilities.
• He will also lay the foundation stone of the Assam Advanced Health Innovation Institute (AAHII).
