Current Context: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the Jhelum Rajbagh Riverfront in Srinagar on Saturday, May 20, 2023. The riverfront project is part of the Srinagar Smart City initiative and has been developed by the department of irrigation and flood control.

• The project has transformed the six-kilometre stretch of the riverfront into a world-class public space with facilities like walkways, cycling, green space, free wifi, universal access and numerous activities along the way.
