Current Context: Niramaya Health Insurance Scheme is a scheme that provides affordable health insurance to persons with disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation and multiple disabilities.

• The scheme covers up to Rs. 1 lakh of medical expenses on reimbursement basis for various treatments, therapies, surgeries and alternative medicine.
• The scheme is available in the entire country and does not require any pre-insurance medical tests. The enrolment and renewal of beneficiaries under Niramaya is done online through registered organisations
