Current Context: The centre will focus on optimizing scheduling and forecasting, integrating the generation profiles of both conventional and renewable power sources, and advising real time schedule, declared capacity revision and exchange power.

• The centre will also be pivotal for energy data collection from the 17 State Energy Management Centres (SEMCs) operating across the Railways.
• The centre was inaugurated by Naveen Gulati, Member Traction & Rolling Stock of Railway Board, on Saturday in the presence of Rahul Mithal, CMD RITES and Chairman REMC Ltd, and Additional Member, Traction, Railway Board.
