UGC launches 2 New Portals: “UTASH” to Track Implementation of NEP 2020 & “PoP”

Current Context: UGC has launched two new user-friendly portals, UTASH and PoP, on May 16, 2023.UTASH stands for Undertaking Transformative Strategies and Actions in Higher Education and it is designed to share and track the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020.

• The portal will provide detailed information about UGC’s initiatives for qualitative reforms in higher education, such as learner-centric education, digital learning, industry-institute collaboration, academic research, internationalisation, and the Indian Knowledge System.
• PoP stands for Professors of Practice and it is designed to manage the recruitment process of experienced professionals by the academic institutions of India. The portal will enable universities to find the right Professor of Practice and vice versa.
• The aim is to bring real work practice and experiences into the classrooms and benefit the educational institutions and society from the skills of trained professionals.
