Zomato UPI: Zomato inks pact with ICICI Bank

Current Context: Zomato UPI is a third-party payments application provider for the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), a real-time payment system in India. With Zomato UPI, users can create a new UPI ID and make payments by staying on the Zomato app itself, without being redirected to another app like Google Pay, PhonePe, or others.

• This is expected to make the payment process more seamless and convenient for Zomato customers. Zomato UPI is currently available for select users and may expand to more users and banks in the future

Some of the benefits of using Zomato UPI are:

• You can pay directly to both businesses and people using Zomato UPI.
• You won’t be required to complete KYC to use Zomato UPI.
• You can customize your UPI ID according to your preference.
• You can make payments by staying on the Zomato app itself, without being redirected to another app.
