- DBS Bank India has appointed Rajat Verma as managing director and head of institutional banking. Verma, who was previously with HSBC India, will be taking over from Niraj Mittal, who is moving to Australia to take charge as the country head of DBS Bank.
- Aarti Holla-Maini, an Indian-origin British satellite industry expert, has been appointed by the United Nations Secretary-General as the Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA).
- The Congress has appointed TS Singh Deo as the Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh just months ahead of the Assembly elections in the state. The decision was taken after a meeting was held by the Congress leadership in New Delhi to discuss the poll strategy in Chhattisgarh.
