MP CM Inaugurated Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojna’s Fund Transfer

Current Context: Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojna. This is a welfare scheme launched by the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on March 15, 2023. Under this scheme, eligible women will get 1,000 monthly assistance.

• The scheme aims to reach out to one crore women in the state for which a provision of ₹ 8,000 crore has been made in the annual Budget of 2023.
• The process of accepting applications for the scheme began on March 5, 2023 and the final list of beneficiaries was published on May 31, 2023.
• The scheme’s benefits started from June 10, 2023 and the amount is credited to the accounts on the 10th of every month.
• On June 12, 2023, Chouhan inaugurated the fund transfer of the scheme with a single click in Jabalpur and called it a milestone towards women’s empowerment.
