Current Context: SpaceX has successfully deployed Indonesia’s new communications satellite SATRIA-1 into orbit on Sunday, June 18.
  • The satellite will provide free internet connection to 150,000 public facilities in Indonesia, including schools, regional government offices and health facilities.
  • It will also have a throughput capacity of 150 billion bits per second, which is three times the capacity of the nine telecommunication satellites that Indonesia currently uses
  • It will improve public services, especially in terms of digital transformation through digital public service malls.
