Current Context: Union Bank of India, the bank has introduced four niche bank account schemes targeting women, women entrepreneurs and professionals, pensioners and cooperative housing societies.
Union Bank of India Launched four Bank Account Schemes
The schemes are:
    • Union Shakti: A savings account for women with benefits such as free debit card, free personal accident insurance cover, free RTGS/NEFT transactions and preferential interest rates on loans.
    • Union Professional: A current account for professionals such as doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants, architects etc. with benefits such as free cheque book, free demand drafts, free SMS alerts and overdraft facility.
    • Union Pensioner: A savings account for pensioners with benefits such as free debit card, free personal accident insurance cover, free locker facility for one year and doorstep banking services.
    • Union CHS: A current account for cooperative housing societies with benefits such as free cheque book, free RTGS/NEFT transactions, free SMS alerts and cash management services.
  • These schemes are aimed at providing customized banking solutions to different segments of customers and enhancing their convenience and satisfaction.
