- Foxconn has withdrawn from a $19 billion semiconductor joint venture with Indian metals and mining conglomerate Vedanta to build a semiconductor and display production plant in India.
- According to the Income Tax department, India’s net direct tax collection so far this fiscal grew 16% to Rs 4.75 lakh crore. This collection represents 26.05% of the total budget estimates of direct taxes for the full 2023-24 fiscal, which is set at Rs 18.23 lakh crore.
