IN & ICG signed MoU with IPRCL

Current Context: MoU signed by the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and IPRCL, this MoU is for the planning, development, construction, and commissioning of a gallery on the theme “Evolution of Indian Navy & Indian Coast Guard” at the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) which is being constructed at the historic Indus Valley civilization region of Lothal (Gujarat).

• The gallery will be one of the attractions of the NMHC, which will also have a maritime museum, lighthouse museum, maritime theme parks, amusement park centres, etc..
• The MoU was signed in the presence of several ministers and senior officers of the Indian Coast Guard, Indian Navy and IPRCL on July 2, 2023.
• This is a significant step towards preserving and promoting India’s maritime history and culture.
