• Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, that Karnataka would release 10 tmcft of Cauvery river water to the neighboring Tamil Nadu.

• The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is organizing the Youth20 Summit 2023 from August 17 to August 20 in Varanasi.
