Indian Railways’ GSV Vadodara and Airbus sign MoU

Current Context: Indian Railways’ Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) Vadodara and Airbus have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 7, 2023, to collaborate in the fields of aerospace teaching and research.

• The MoU aims to develop a strong pipeline of skilled workforce for the Indian aviation sector and create 15,000 job opportunities for students.
• The partnership will also support the development of the academic curriculum and executive programmes relevant to the sector, as well as explore potential synergies for joint research, partnerships with international institutes and internship and placement opportunities for the students of GSV.
• The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics and IT, who is also the First Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya.
• The Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Prof. Manoj Choudhary, said that this partnership with Airbus will very significantly enhance the aerospace and aviation sector in India through creation of best-in-class talent and joint research programmes.
