AP’s Indian Red Cross Society signs MoU with NCC to Enroll NCC students as YRC Volunteer

Current Context:The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Andhra Pradesh (AP), and the National Cadet Corps (NCC) was signed on October 26, 2023.

• The signing ceremony took place at Andhra Loyola College (ALC) in Vijayawada.
• The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Andhra Pradesh (AP), has indeed signed a first of its kind Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Cadet Corps (NCC) to enroll NCC students as Youth Red Cross (YRC) Volunteers in Andhra Pradesh.
• This agreement will motivate all NCC cadets to enroll as Youth Red Cross Volunteers.
• About 1.60 lakh NCC cadets will be enrolled as Youth Red Cross Volunteers in the State in IRCS soon.
• This is a significant step towards extending more services to the needy during emergencies in the State.
