    • REC Limited, the Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has been recognized for its exceptional performance in risk management with the esteemed Golden Peacock Award. The award was presented by the Institute of Directors (IOD) and received by Mr. V. K. Singh, Director (Projects), and Mr. Daljeet Singh Khatri, Executive Director (Finance), on behalf of REC in a ceremony held in London on 17th October 2023.
    • The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has indeed been awarded the prestigious ISAR Honours 2023 by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) working group on International Standards for Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) for its initiative Sustainability Reporting Standards Board (SRSB).

    • International Chefs Day is celebrated every year on October 20th. It’s a day to honor the culinary professionals who bring joy to our lives through their delicious and diverse cuisine. This day is also an opportunity to educate children around the world about eating healthy.
    • National Police Commemoration Day is observed every year on October 21. This day is marked to commemorate the police officers who have sacrificed their lives in the course of service. The day commemorates the sacrifices of ten policemen who lost their lives in an attack from Chinese troops in Ladakh on October 21.
