Current Context: The UN Disarmament Week 2023 will be celebrated from October 24 to 30, 2023. It is an annual event organized by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) to raise awareness of the importance of disarmament and to promote the elimination of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction.

• The Agenda for Disarmament comprises four key pillars:
