ICCR & SPPU Partnered to Launch UTIKS, an Online Portal

Current Context: The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) have indeed partnered to launch UTIKS, an online portal aimed at promoting a better understanding of Indian culture worldwide.

• UTIKS, which stands for Universalization of Traditional Indian Knowledge System, is an e-learning platform designed to take Indian culture to a global audience.
• The portal was soft-launched at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, Karnataka on October 5.
• The UTIKS portal offers short courses on Traditional Indian Knowledge and provides an authentic single window source of introductory level knowledge on a range of subjects under the Traditional Indian Knowledge System.
• It was developed in collaboration with Savitribai Phule Pune University.Each UTIKS capsule consists of a 30-minute video segment, including organized video and audio content, images, interviews, and demonstrations.
