‘AAINA Dashboard for Cities’ Portal Launched by MoHUA

Current Context: The ‘AAINA Dashboard for Cities’ Portal is a new initiative by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to create a robust database of key performance metrics of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across India.

• The portal was launched on 13th November, 2023 and invites ULBs to voluntarily submit their data on a regular basis, through a simple, easy-to-fill, data entry form.
• The portal aims to help cities compare themselves with other similarly placed cities, inspire them to improve their performance, and provide them the opportunity to learn and engage with frontrunners.
• The portal covers indicators across five broad pillars: Political & Administrative Structure, Finance, Planning, Citizen Centric Governance and Delivery of Basic Services.
