Cyprus’s Golden Passport is a term used to describe the citizenship by investment program that Cyprus offered to foreign investors who met certain criteria, such as investing at least €2 million in the country’s economy or buying a property worth at least €300,000.
- The second edition of the Voice of Global South Summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 17, 2023. This is the second time that India is hosting the summit since January this year.

- According to the World Energy Employment Report from the International Energy Agency (IEA), hiring in clean energy has pushed energy sector employment globally above pre-pandemic levels. The IEA’s World Energy Outlook 2023 report also highlights the emergence of a new clean energy.
- The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) reported that greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere hit new record highs in 2022. The report highlighted that there is no end in sight to the rising trend. The levels of the three main greenhouse gases – carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide – all saw significant increases.
- India and the European Union (EU) are indeed inching closer to settling their $600 million trade dispute at the World Trade Organization (WTO). This comes after India settled all seven trade disputes at the WTO with its largest trade partner, the US.
