International Tourism Mart is being organized by the Ministry of Tourism at Shillong

Current Context: The International Tourism Mart is a three-day event that will showcase the tourism potential of the Northeast region of India and its rich biodiversity and cultural heritage.

• It will be held at Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, from 21 to 23 November 2023.
• The event will also emphasize the government’s Mission LiFE, which stands for Livelihood, Inclusion, Financial Empowerment and Entrepreneurship.
• The event will feature roadshows, exhibitions, cultural programs, business meetings and networking sessions with stakeholders from the tourism industry.
• The event is expected to attract delegates from India and abroad, especially from the Southeast Asian countries.
