UP Govt Signed CSIR & DRDO as Knowledge Partners for Bulk Drugs Park in Lalitpur

Current Context: The MoUs between the UP government and CSIR and DRDO were signed on November 17, 2023 in Lucknow.

• The aim of the Bulk Drugs Park project is to provide high-quality and affordable medicines and medical devices to the country and the world, and to promote research and innovation in the medical sector with the help of CSIR and DRDO.
• The MoUs are part of the government’s plan to develop the Bulk Drugs Park in Lalitpur as a high-tech and nature-friendly zone that will provide affordable and quality medicines and medical devices to the country and the world.
• The Bulk Drugs Park will also collaborate with the Biotechnology Department, Adani Gas, THDC, CONCOR, and STPI for knowledge, energy, logistics, and industry support.
