Current Context: Maharashtra Industries Minister Uday Samant announced that Maharashtra has regained its position as the top recipient of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the country.

  • The state attracted Rs 28,868 crore of foreign direct investment in the last three months.
  • The state had received Rs.1,18,422 crore in FDI last year.
  • Under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Maharashtra has become the favorite destination for investors.
  • Despite the geo-political crisis and the slowdown in Europe because of the Ukraine war, Maharashtra has succeeded in keeping the flow of FDI going.
