MOCI Minister Piyush Goyal releases 5th LEADS Survey Report

Current Context: Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), released the 5th LEADS (Logistics Ease Across Different States) 2023 Survey Report in New Delhi.

• The report was released in the presence of Smt. Sumita Dawra, Special Secretary (Logistics), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Mr. Sajiv Puri, President-Designate of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) & MD ITC, and Mr. Mihir Shah, Partner, Ernst & Young.
• The LEADS 2023 Survey Report provides insights into the improvement of logistics performance at the State/UT level.
• It highlights an enhanced overall stakeholder perception and the impact of various reforms across States and UTs.
• The report ranks states on the basis of their logistics ecosystem, highlights the key logistics-related challenges faced by the stakeholders, and includes suggestive recommendations.
