ICA’s World Cooperative Monitor 2023: IFFCO tops among Top 300 Cooperatives in world

Current Context: On 25th February 2024, The World Cooperative Monitor 2023, the 12th edition of the annual research report, was released by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) and the European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises (Euricse).

• The report ranks the largest cooperatives and mutuals worldwide based on their economic and social impact.
• In the 2023 edition, the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) retained its position as the Number 1 Cooperative among the top 300 cooperatives in the world, based on the ratio of turnover over Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita.
• The report also provides sector rankings, employment data, and discusses benefits to members and how cooperatives communicate their identity and advantage.
