9th Annual Shakti International Women Entrepreneurs Summit 2024

Current Context: The 9th Annual Shakti International Women Entrepreneurs Summit 2024 was held in New Delhi, organized by the India SME Forum and the Ministry of MSME in association with the Women Entrepreneurs Forum.

 

• The summit aimed to inspire and promote entrepreneurship among women by providing a platform for successful women entrepreneurs to share their experiences and knowledge.
• Union Minister for MSME, Shri Narayan Rane, launched three initiatives at the summit on March 1, 2024, to promote women entrepreneurship.
• These initiatives were Panjikaran Se Pragati, a national campaign encouraging women entrepreneurs to get Udyam registered; WEP Unnati - Udyamita se Pragati tak, an award-to-reward program aiming to take Women MSME’s to the next level of growth; and the Mentorship Platform of Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP).
• The summit also celebrated the achievements of emerging women entrepreneurs from various industry sectors and honored women entrepreneurs who were beneficiaries of the CGTMSE scheme.
