15th CIDC Vishwakarma Awards 2024

Current Context: The 15th CIDC Vishwakarma Awards 2024 was organized by the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) on 5th April 2024. The awards are a recognition of the industry’s best practices and achievements.

• Here are some highlights from the awards:
• SJVN Limited received the award for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Contribution. They also secured the ‘Achievement Award for Social Development and Creating Impact’ and the 'CIDC Partners in Progress Trophy’.
• The ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ was given to Dr. Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya Trophy Late Prof (Dr.) Niranjan Swarup.
• Vinayak Pai, MD & CEO of TATA Projects Ltd., and Gautam Suri, Founder Director & Chief Technical Officer of Interarch Building Products Private Limited, were among the awardees.
• GAIL (India) Limited won the ‘Achievement Award for Best Construction Projects’ category for its Barauni – Guwahati Natural Gas Pipeline project (BGPL).
• Puravankara Limited, a leading real estate developer in India, won the Achievement Award for Creating Social Development and Impact at the 15th Edition of the Vishwakarma Awards. The award was in recognition of Puravankara’s efforts in social development, particularly their “Million Wells for Bengaluru” campaign, which rejuvenated heritage wells in collaboration with the Biome Environmental Trust.
• The ‘Best Professionally Managed Company’ award in the category of turnover greater than Rs. 2500 Cr was given to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), New Delhi.
• The ‘Best Professionally Managed Company’ award in the category of turnover between Rs. 1000 Cr and Rs. 2500 Cr was given to Ramky Infrastructure Limited, Hyderabad.
